Ellen Hurley
Ellen Hurley has studied drawing, water color and oil painting. Oil is her primary medium; she appreciates its lushness and the ability to produce both dynamic and subtle effects with it. She strives to produce a representational expression of beauty by presenting her interpretation of landscapes and still life with flowers and antique pieces of brass, copper, silver, pewter and porcelain that have histories of their own.
Ellen’s still life and landscape paintings are in private collections across the United States. Her work has been juried into national and regional exhibitions. She is represented currently by the Artful Heart Gallery in Arlington, MA and the Handworks Gallery in Acton, MA.
