Linda Cargiuolo
My paintings are testimony to the fact that color, texture and the drama of nature are my guide to the visual pleasures that I wish to share. Born and raised by the shoreline in NYC, I enjoyed the ever changing sounds and sights that are life on an active waterway. My early experiences as a fashion designer then brought the world of color and textures into my daily life. I have explored many mediums besides fiber, including clay and various painting mediums such as watercolor, oil, and monotypes and now, acrylics.
I presently have a home overlooking a large lake in NH. The sailboats and atmospheric changes affecting the sky, water and mountains are my inspiration. A simple rock, a cloud, or a sandy beach become portraits in their own right.
