The BACS annual Regional Art Show will take place on Bedford Day. This year we’ll have a juried show and sale, with Bedford resident Marc Holland (photo) serving as juror. Marc is a professor and chair of the Studio Foundation Department at Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
Recognition will be given for excellence in these categories: originality of approach, outstanding work in 2-D, outstanding work in 3-D, outstanding composition, and best in show. There will be no cash awards. Entrants may submit up to three pieces of artwork or craftwork. Submissions are free for BACS members, and
nonmembers will pay a modest entry fee of $10 per piece, 3 for $25.
The exhibit categories are: (1) watercolor painting; (2) oil and acrylic painting;
(3) drawing and pastel painting; (4) three-dimensional art (includes fiber art, sculpture, ceramics, stained
glass, woodwork, metal jewelry, and basketry); (5) photography (includes both film and digital); and
(6) other media (includes collage, batik, mixed media, and printmaking processes such as monotype, intaglio, lithography, and woodcut). The art show entry form can be found here.
