BACS was pleased to have white line woodcut expert Kate Hanlon present a demonstration via Zoom on January 16. Kate drew a stylized cowboy on a horse and stepped us through the process of transferring the drawing to the block and then carving the lines of the drawing into the block. Then Kate painted sections of her block with various colors, one at a time, making multiple prints to add more paint as she worked to complete the work.
These programs are funded in part by a grant from the Bedford Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
