Sylvia Mallory
Sylvia Mallory is a painter who also works in collage and mixed media. She began painting in earnest in 2015 after years of dabbling with creating art.
Sylvia first studied watercolor painting with water media artist Nan Rumpf. She moved into acrylics in 2018, and acrylics quickly became her favored medium.
Sylvia has studied painting with Emily Passman, Aimee Erickson, Lisa Daria Kennedy, Maris Platais, Kathy DeFlice-Secor, and other distinguished artists. She has taken workshops in collage with Alexandra Sheldon. Her favorite subject matter includes landscapes, floral still lifes, and abstracts.
Her work has hung in various juried shows, including exhibitions at the Rockport Art Association, Gallery Twist, the Art Gallery at Grace Chapel, and the Chelmsford Center for the Arts. Her artwork has also been featured in group shows at other venues.
